AK Design have been retained as the Lead Design Consultant for Phase III renovation works on the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. This follows the successful delivery of the Phase II refurbishment works on the North Wing and Basement Level of the hotel over the preceding two years. The main task in Phase III involves the refurbishment of Guest Rooms, Suites and Corridors on multiple levels of both the North and South Wings. Other core components of the assignment include a complete renovation of the Ground Floor arrival experience which covers the Main Lobby, Atrium, elevators, Palm Court, and Latitude Restaurant as well as adjacent retail and external terrace areas. In parallel with these projects, AK Design is responsible for authority submissions and achieving approvals through our AOR mandate on the project. 

The fundamentals of the Jumeirah Group brief have been for the Interior Design consultant to develop new visually stimulating interiors to ensure that returning customers know that the hotel has been renovated and that first-time guests sense that it is new. This forms part of the client strategy that the resort maintains its position as a market leader in the luxury hospitality sector. The assignment involves all design stages and our key role is to provide consultancy leadership in ensuring that all design information is coordinated to best industry standards. The design phase has recently been completed and AK Design have now deployed a large site supervision team to oversee the construction works in the months ahead. This is mission critical as the operator has shut down the hotel and plans for a 21st year anniversary relaunch in the Autumn of 2018.
