In order to create a distinct architectural vision for this project, AK Design was invited to take precedent from the historic Greek Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. The spirit and architecture of the Cyclades islands has grown organically over time, as does the shaping and topography of the project site which demanded a rambling building which provides an inherent intimacy and sense of community. The scale and massing for this residential scheme can be seen as directly analogous to many of Dubai's new urban fringe lifestyle developments. The master plan aims to address the local environment in terms of orientation and material selections while creating the essence of community through a series of external squares.
Considering it’s strong location in Motor City with nearby schools and shopping facilities, the development is already experiencing strong demand from a market which seeks out a superior residential building in this outlying district. The entire super structure has been completed and the main construction tasks in recent months has been the installation of MEP services and glazing systems on all facades. The community squares are now formed and preliminary works for the swimming pools and landscaping are well in progress. Amid all of these site activities, a fully furnished duplex show apartment has been completed. Best practice site procedures for this G+5 project have been adopted to ensure minimum disruption for local residents.
